• The List

“The List” is an index of all pieces of Japanese literature coming out in English for the year 2012.

The List for 2012 is currently a work in progress and in fact probably won’t be close to being “complete” until 2012 draws to a close. Therefore, I invite you, the dedicated fans and/or publishing people, to email me at wednesdayafternoonpicnic@gmail.com or send a tweet to @wednesdaypicnic to let me know when I’m missing something.

Things to keep in mind about The List:

    • The List includes re-translations of previously released material, and I will probably include any re-issues of significant works that have been out of print.
    • The List includes all works translated into English, including those from publishers outside of the United States (Junbungaku‘s base of operations). Luckily books are so easy to get online now!
    • The List, for now, is composed only of physical book releases. I do not track e-book releases. I will consider e-book only releases, if they exist, on a case-by-case basis. That being said, I won’t be actively looking for them, so you’ll definitely have to let me know about any e-book only releases.
    • The List includes genre work, but does not include light novels. I’m sure there are other sites for that.

Most links go to Amazon, but I implore you to support your local independent bookstores when possible!
